This retrospective looks at my earliest non-profit works, created between 2003 and 2008. These pieces wouldn’t exist without my dad, who got me a Wacom Intuos 2 and a scanner. That’s when I started experimenting with scanned materials, hand-drawn sketches, and digital techniques
Back then, digital art was new, and there was a push to make it look as natural as possible. Paper textures helped add a tactile, non-digital feel to my work
I was inspired by artists like Raoul Sinier, Oleg Paschenko, Preshaa, Adrien Ménielle. This collection includes self-portraits, sketches of friends and family, and moments influenced by my surroundings and pop culture
































































































Looking at these works now, it’s hard to remember what I was trying to say with some of them, or why I created these particular characters. I think a lot of it was an unconscious reflection of what was happening around me at the time. It was also about trying to emulate the techniques of the artists I admired back then
